Dance classes: Robots dance and dance for us

We are increasingly seeing people dancing for the first time, using virtual reality and 3D modelling to enhance their performances.

But in the past few years, some people have become so frustrated with the lack of quality dancing classes, they’ve created their own.

“Dance classes are the new craze,” says Chris Anderson, a former dance teacher at the London School of Economics.

“It’s a lot cheaper to get a professional DJ than a teacher.”

Anderson, now a professor at the University of York, says the cost of training a dance instructor is cheaper than a regular teacher and, more importantly, he says he’s not aware of any students that were dissatisfied with the experience.

“You don’t get the feedback and the feedback is just so minimal, and it’s really hard to make it stick,” he says.

“I love the feeling that you get when you can do something you never thought you could do before.””

It’s fun to do a dance and be part of a community, it’s just like any other hobby, but for people that are very focused on getting an education it’s the best way to be successful.””

Dancing is such an incredible, personal passion for me. “

When people are able to take part in this type of thing, they will realise they can actually make money doing it,” says Anderson.

The first dance class Anderson organised for his daughter was for her birthday. “

This is a great way to build a community around dancing.”

“The teacher was fantastic, they gave us an incredible set of guidelines to follow, and she gave us a real, honest, professional experience,” says the 42-year-old.

“After that, the teachers were fantastic and we really enjoyed working with them.”

A lot of people are in a rush to get into dance, and when you start out you’re not necessarily looking for a good time.

In 2017, the Dance Academy organised a workshop for its students. “

My daughter was ecstatic with it, and so was I.”

In 2017, the Dance Academy organised a workshop for its students.

The program involved students learning dance from professional dancers and teaching them how to take their performances to the next level.

“When you come in, you have a new attitude,” says Sarah, the program manager at the dance academy.

“Your confidence is really high, and you feel so confident about your skills, and this is really important to me, because I’m in the middle of a big transition into a career.”

The next year, the dance instructor became a full-time employee.

“She’s so excited to be able to teach us and to be involved with this community, so it’s an amazing feeling,” says Samantha.

“She’s learning more, and teaching us more, which really means a lot.”

It’s the passion and the excitement, that drives people to the dance, that make the difference, says Anderson, that makes the difference in the world.

“You can be a dancer, you can be an engineer, you just can’t be both.

You can’t dance and drive a car and work for the government and still have a good job.”
